Our History

The Nickel Centre Seniors Club was formed in 1986 by residents from the townships of both Falconbridge and Garson. After several planning meetings, their non-profit organization status was granted. The Falconbridge Mining Company generously gifted (sold for $1) a house for the club to call home.   Several weeks of renovations by volunteers was needed to get the house in shape for Club use.

The Clubhouse now boasts event space for up to 60 participants on the upper level with kitchen and up to 30 participants on the lower level, including a pool table, darts and shuffleboard room with a second kitchen. The NCS Club would not exist without the generous time and skills offered by many dedicated volunteers.
